My Review of Darkness and Light by Mary Patterson Thornburg

Darkness and light is a compelling short story that gives the reader a glimpse of a foreign and perhaps alternate world.  The main character is escaping from some form of imprisonment and it becomes clear very quickly that his life depends on his ability to free himself no matter the cost!

This intense short story is clearly a forerunner for a larger plot that unfolds in further additions to the series.  I look forward to reading more!

Sara, thank you so much for this review. You’ve made my day, and it’s still only 6:23 AM where I live! You’re right — the story’s a forerunner to my novel The Kura, to be released in April by Uncial Press
